Organisation: Radlett Centre

Description: Artists Jane Hope and Eryl Waters get their inspiration mainly from nature and living things. Their new exhibition, Colourful Observations, shows Eryl's vibrantly coloured ink paintings, based on zen drawings with a bamboo pen, and Jane’s digital printmaking work.

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

Brunel University Jazzbridge

Organisation: Friends of Ickenham Hall

Description: Brunel University Jazzbridge, conducted by Frank Griffith, is playing a ‘Friends of Ickenham Hall’ benefit at the Compass Theatre, Glebe Avenue, Ickenham.

Northwood resident Frank Griffith is an American saxophonist and arranger/composer who also holds the post of Director of Performance at Brunel University. His bands have also appeared at Ronnie Scotts, Queen Elizabeth Hall and locally at Pinner Parish Church and Harrow Arts Centre.

Finally, on 27 February, Frank is appearing with the Brian Knapp Trio at Ruislip Golf Club at 8:30pm. Tickets for this are £6, available from 01895 632294.

‘Allo ‘Allo

Description: ‘Allo ‘Allo, a comedy by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft, is the next production by Pinner Players.

Based on the successful television series, set in the Second World War, the play follows the farcical adventures of hapless café owner René and his wife Edith as they struggle to keep for themselves a priceless portrait of The Fallen Madonna by Van Klomp (known as The Madonna with the Big Boobies) originally stolen by the Nazis. All the popular characters make an appearance, including the blow up Hitler dolls.

Hear My Prayer

Description: Amici Chamber Choir, conducted by David Gould, present a 25th Anniversary Year Concert of sacred music of devotion and celebration.

The repertoire includes Mendelssohn (Hear my prayer and O rest in the Lord), How lovely are Thy dwellings (Brahms), and Tudor anthems by Byrd (Ave Verum Corpus) and Tallis (If ye love Me), plus organ solos played by Simon Lloyd. The treble soloist will be James Rich.

The concert takes place at St George’s Church, Headstone, Pinner View, Harrow.

Beginners' Bridge

Description: Following the success of Watford and Bushey Bridge Club’s autumn programme, which raised £576 for the Peace Hospice, a new beginners’ course starts on Thursday afternoons from 19 April.

There are also lessons for improvers on Wednesday mornings, plus supervised play on Wednesday afternoons with top experts.

All lessons are held at Beechen Grove Baptist Church in central Watford.
