Open Garden

Sunday, 11 Jun 2017 - 2:00 pm

to   6:00 pm

Description: A new garden is opening in support of the National Garden Scheme's charities in Northwood. The garden belongs to Marietta Richardson who started it in 1999. Since that time it has gone through many transformations to accommodate the needs of a growing family. The latest changes involve the setting up of a dye garden as Marietta is a spinner and dyer and uses plants to dye her yarn. The garden features deep herbaceous borders with all-season interest, a camomile lawn and fruit and vegetable garden. Tea and cake will be available to buy along with a few garden plants.

25 Hallowell Road, Northwood, HA6 1DT

Ticket Price: Entry is £3.50. Children free.

The National Garden Scheme was founded in 1927 and in 2016 donated £2.7 million to charity including donations to Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carer's Trust, Queen's Nursing Institute, Parkinson's UK, MS Society, Perennial and Horatio's Garden.
