An enthusiastic and self-disciplined approach
Sponsored Content
St. John’s is a very successful preparatory school for boys aged three to thirteen. Situated on a magnificent 37 acre site, and originally privately owned, it was bought by the Merchant Taylors’ Livery Company in 1984, since when the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust has contributed to an impressive programme of capital development. Our pupils benefit from outstanding modern facilities. We recently invested £1 million on a major grounds development, with an outstanding artificial turf pitch.
We aim to provide a stimulating environment so that boys can develop an enthusiastic and self-disciplined approach to learning and life. Each boy is encouraged to extend and develop his talents and interests, to grow in confidence and fulfil his potential. The academic standard is high; leavers go on to leading independent schools (a substantial majority to Merchant Taylors’ School). Pupils reach high standards in drama, music and sport.
We welcome prospective parents at our Open Morning on Tuesday, 13 October at 9.20 am. Assessments for Nursery places for September 2010 are scheduled for Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 November.
