Helping Children To Be Healthy

Sponsored Content

Daybreak Nurseries are excited at the prospect of celebrating their fifth birthday in their newly extended and equipped garden. Money awarded in a grant (as a result of supporting the Manager and Assistant Manager in gaining their Early Years Foundation Degree) has provided a new play surface and equipment, and will augment the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage which sets the standards for learning, development and care.

Laura Orawski, Nursery Manager, is delighted to have even better, bigger facilities, “effectively giving us a classroom outside to enjoy”. This will help the nursery to build on the Outstanding grade awarded by Ofsted for helping children to be healthy.
As well as encouraging the children to be physically active, there is a balanced menu on offer. By adapting the ‘Healthier Schools’ programme and adopting the Pre-School Learning Alliance Initiatives on nutrition, Daybreak aim for all the children to benefit from healthy eating. Lunches are prepared daily by Cuisine Delights who blend the finest quality, locally sourced ingredients together with experience and enthusiasm. They are passionate about food and feel it is vital to introduce and lock children into healthy eating with dishes that are attractive, nutritious and exciting.

Open from 7.30am to 7.00pm, Daybreak Nurseries provides childcare for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
